Intra-Circle Roaming Activated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Amidst Heavy Rainfall

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) instructed telecom service providers to activate Intra-Circle Roaming in selected districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, affected by heavy rainfall, to ensure uninterrupted connections.

This major step was supposed to be active until 11:59 pm on September 3, availing subscribers to use any available networks in their respective regions without considering what primary service provider they are engaged with. By introducing this, the users residing in Krishna and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh and Khammam, Nalgonda, and Warangal districts of Telangana with the option to switch between connections easily in order to maintain connectivity.

A few days back, the Gujarat government directed all telecom service providers to activate intra-circle roaming in 9 districts, letting users switch seamlessly between networks without opting for any particular SIM cards to access smooth communication during the crisis.
